Meet the cheetahs
Turmeric
Turmeric is the son of Jo and is the litter mate of his sister Ginger. He was born during the first half of 2000, and at eight years of age, has become a very big and handsome cheetah. After a period of roaming the Serengeti plains he has now settled down to take a territory centred around Semetu, including the northern stretch of cub valley and the eastern edge of Boma kopjes. He can often be seen scent marking and patrolling this area. In the wet season of 2008, he moved off his territory and into the Naabi, Gol area where he was looking quite mangy. Cheetahs tend to get mange when their stress levels increase which often occurs whilst defending a territory.
Turmeric was last seen in June 2008.
