Meet the cheetahs

Vitalis Vitalis

Vitalis

Vitalis was first seen in 2005, together with her sister Winona and her brother (who has yet to be given a name) AH473MC. They were the cubs of Angie, a well known cheetah who was known to the Serengeti Cheetah project for over 10 years. Vitalis reached independence in 2007, and though we have never seen her with cubs we are hopeful! Vitalis is a bit of a wanderer -  she has been seen as far north as the Seronera river, where she is more likely to be seen in the dry season and as far south as Barafu, where you are more likely to see her in the wet season.

Vitalis was last seen in August 2010.
